Along The Way has been a tremendous blessing to our Life Church family. We utilized it for mid-week small groups. It was the first time we promoted small groups to our entire church in this manner and the response was tremendous. The Scriptures teach that the coming of Jesus was wrapped up in the Good News of the Kingdom. Along the Way is a book that helps you to see the full picture of what it means to be a Christian. Short chapters makes it easy to digest and refer to. I really loved the chapter on discipline. Though it doesn’t sound like a fun topic, it is the understanding of having loving responses because we are committed to relationship with God of the universe. What is more important than that! When I first read the book, I was in really struggling with depression having recently lost my mom. But after completing the application exercise where we wrote a letter to/from God, I was instantly healed of depression. I shared my experience with another young man and bought a book for him. He doesn’t claim to be a Christian but he and his girlfriend are now reading it together. He even wrote a song for one of the application exercises!
